The Partnership

Welcome to the Safer Colchester Partnership website where you can find out more about the work of the Partnership in keeping Colchester safe. The Partnership consists of a number of important organisations in Colchester and our colleagues in the NHS, Essex Police, Essex Fire and Rescue Service, Colchester Community Voluntary Service , Colchester City Homes, the Garrison , Essex Probation and  Essex County Council all play a vital role in making Colchester a safer place to live, work and visit.

I hope you find this website a useful source of information . We would welcome ideas and information from individuals and community groups about how we can keep Colchester safe and I would be delighted to hear from you with any contributions.

The ONE Colchester Strategic Group and the Community Safety Delivery Board

The ONE Colchester Strategic Group consists of Chief Officers from the Partnership’s Statutory Members and is responsible for making strategic decisions and directing the Community Safety Delivery Board. Both groups are well placed to make a valuable contribution to reducing crime and disorder across Colchester.

The Community Safety Delivery Board’s aim is to work together to reduce crime and disorder in Colchester and in order to do this in 2020-2021 a new fund is being made available to bid into, for specific projects and initiatives in line with the SCP’s Strategic Priorities. Applicants can apply for all or part of the fund. This will encourage wider partnership involvement and encourage local groups to tackle local problems.
