In an emergency, always dial 999.
Domestic Abuse can be reported to Essex Police in the following ways:
Non-emergency number: 101
Call in at your local police station
Incidents of domestic violence can be reported by victims themselves or by someone on their behalf. The first priority is to ensure the safety and wellbeing of the victim and any children involved. Victims are spoken to separately from the person responsible for the abuse; firm and positive action will be taken against the abuser and, if necessary, a safe place to stay can be arranged for the victim and any children.

COMPASS is a single point of to support victims of domestic abuse across Southend, Essex and Thurrock.
Compass is being delivered by a consortium of established domestic abuse support agencies which includes; SOS Domestic Abuse Projects, Changing Pathways and Next Chapter.
